2026 postcode search summary
All of Scotland and Wales held elections on 7 May, alongside 136 English councils. In total, 220 GB councils organised elections. As usual, we received polling station data from all of them, as well as four additional councils with by-elections.
Public interest in these elections was very high compared to previous polls. The number of candidates increased, and turnout appears (according to the early results) to have risen. This is reflected in the unprecedented number of postcode search results we processed, a figure more akin to a UK parliamentary general election than a local/devolved poll.
We have processed over 10 million postcode searches from the UK public since 1 April.
